"Let's Celebrate!" Davy Burnes of Valley Entertainment is bringing a celebrity to Harlingen, Texas to ring in 2023.
Walt Anderson, singer and songwriter of Kool and the Gang, will be performing live at the Harlingen NYE Gala at the Harlingen Convention Center on December 31, 2022. He will be singing some Kool and the Gang hits as well as his original songs. Backing him up will be Valley band, Acho de Barrio, known for their high-energy Latin dance music. DJ fnf, a regional bachata and salsa DJ, will be rounding out the entertainment.
Guests will be able to dance to a variety of music such as salsa, merengue, bachata, Selena Tejano, 70s and 80s dance mix, and top 100 songs.
Appetizers will be served when doors open at 7:30 pm through 8:30 pm. A cash bar will be available throughout the evening. Guests will receive a complimentary glass of champagne for the midnight toast.
The event will be hosted by Lisa Campos of Explore Harlingen.
