Looking back on 2025, it was a difficult year for many national and local businesses. Many long-standing businesses in Harlingen closed. However, some new businesses opened, and more are on the way in 2026.

For 92 years, nonprofit organization Harlingen Concert Association (HCA) has been committed to recruiting exceptional artists to present high-quality shows. Education and inspiration are at the heart of HCA’s mission. Outreach at local schools are held every season, with scholarships being awarded to high school seniors who want to pursue music at the collegiate level.
